Sabine Sitterli is a veteran of Akamai joining the company from AT&T Global Network Services in 2000. In her capacity as Vice President of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Network Infrastructure for Akamai, Sabine leads a large, distributed and culturally diverse team of employees with a blend of skills in planning, strategic negotiations and account management, design architecture, service delivery and operational support for network and data center capacity.

The EMEA Network Infrastructure group is responsible for Akamai’s network service provider and colocation relationships in the EMEA ecosystem, but also for building, optimising and maintaining the capacity necessary to support the growth, stability and performance of the Akamai Intelligent Platform in EMEA. On top of that, the team ensures ensures effective and efficient Infrastructure build-outs with the highest standard of service delivery and ongoing operational support for all Akamai servers on the Akamai Intelligent Platform in EMEA.
Starting from a few hundred servers in the year of 2000, the Akamai Platform in EMEA now consists of more than 80,000 servers, distributed in more than 80 countries.
